    AIAA hosted a Corporate Membership Committee meeting and reception on 11 September. The meeting was held between 1300–1600 hrs and the reception immediately followed in the exhibit hall.

    • AIAA SPACE 2013:  A B2B event took place on Tuesday, 10 September: 1000–1200 hrs for the overview and the needs of the primes; and 1530–1730 hrs for the individual matchmaking sessions. This event enabled both our prime and our small business members to learn about the latest technology opportunities, to form new alliances and partnerships, and to maximize their business resources.

Brian Duffy (USAF Ret.), Vice President and JSC Program Manager for Exploration Systems at ATK; James (Jim) Crocker, VP and GM, Planetary Sensing and Robotics Programs, Space Systems Company, Lockheed Martin; Dr. Kris Lehnhardt, MD, Attending Physician and Assistant Professor, George Washington University; and Dr. Ralph L.     • 29 June 2012, Washington, DC, AIAA corporate representatives were invited by Chairman Lamar Smith’s staff to provide aerospace industry input on pending immigration legislation; as Rep. Smith’s Deputy Chief of Staff (Chris Shank) and Judiciary Committee Immigration Subcommittee Staff Director (George Fishman) asked to visit with representitives in the aerospace community to discuss legislation they plan to introduce to expand the number of high skilled immigrants allowed into our country.

    • 27 June 2012, Washington, DC, AIAA corporate representatives were invited to a policy panel titled: A Spak Deferred: The Impact of ITAR and Immigration Policy on the Future of America’s Technology Sector. Moderated by Annalisa Weigel, Charles Stark Draper Career Development Assistant Professor of Aeronautics, Astronautics, and Engineering Systems, MI; and speakers included Dr. Robert Breault, Chairman of the Board, Breault Research Organization, Dr. Claude Canizares, Vice President for Research and Associate Provost, MIT, and Mark Harrington, Founder and Principal Partner, The Harrington Law Firm.
