Investigators are examining whether an emergency transmitter was responsible for a recent Boeing 787 Dreamaliner fire, while Honeywell, the transmitter’s developer, said it will join the investigation into the incident. The transmitter uses a lithium-manganese battery, a more stable version of a lithium-ion battery. However, officials are not saying if this is the main suspect of the fire at this time and warned that it was too early to make any assumptions. (Image Credit: Boeing)
