A United Launch Alliance (ULA) Delta 4 Heavy rocket carrying a classified satellite for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) successfully lifted off from Space Launch Complex-6 at Vandenberg Air Force Base in California Wednesday at 11:03 a.m. PDT. Standing 235 feet tall, it is the United States’ largest rocket. This is the second time that a Delta IV Heavy rocket was launched from the pad at Vandenberg. The first time was in January 2011.
