Thursday marked the U.S. Air Force’s X-37B space plane’s 500th day in orbit. It is still unknown to the public when the spacecraft could return to Earth. Brian Weeden, a technical adviser with the Secure World Foundation and a former orbital analyst with the Air Force, said that amateur observations of the space plane indicate that it still has plenty of thruster fuel remaining. Weeden noted that while its primary mission is unknown, the X-37B may be testing technology for agencies like the National Reconnaissance Office. (Image Credit: Wikimedia)
