Solar Impulse 2 has made its first flight, flying for two hours and 17 minutes over Switzerland on Monday. Solar Impluse 2 is a bigger and improved version of the solar-powered plane that first flew five years ago. After several more flights, team founders Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg hope to take the plane on a round-the-world flight in 2015. The pair claim that Solar Impulse 2 should potentially be able to stay in the air indefinitely. (Image: Solar Impulse 1. Credit: Wikipedia)
