Distinguished Mentorship Program

The AIAA STEM K-12 Committee has established a distinguished mentorship program and we need your participation!

The primary mission of the AIAA Distinguished Mentorship Program (DM Program) is to utilize the many resources that comprise the vast professional network of AIAA. With the help of Distinguished Mentors, the program aims to garner student interest in the ever evolving fields of STEM. By establishing engaging presentations featuring AIAA professionals, students can understand the effects of STEM in everyday life.

The DM program will open the minds of students and teachers to:

  • The innovation and creativity behind the technology that we see on a daily basis
  • Learn about the many career paths that encompass the world of STEM through interactive, engaging and personalized accounts

The DM Program highlights the importance of:

The distinguished mentors will double as role models for young students by sharing their stories and experiences. Mentors possess the ability to connect with students and ultimately become a source of inspiration!

Your participation in the Distinguished Mentorship Program can take two forms:

  1. In person presentations to K-12 schools across the United States.
  2. Virtual Presentations via Skype, Zoom, etc.

The objective of the DM program is to successfully establish a series of presentations that actively engage K-12 students to the realm of STEM and further provide streamlined access to the many resources provided by the greater AIAA community.

If you are interested in participating in this exciting mentor program and are currently an AIAA member in good standing, please:
