Fluid Dynamics Award
The Fluid Dynamics Award was approved by the Board of Directors in 1992 and is presented for outstanding contributions to the understanding of the behavior of liquids and gases in motion as related to need in aeronautics and astronautics. This annual award is generally presented at the AIAA Aviation and Aeronautics Forum (AVIATION).
Nomination Deadline: 1 October
- Full Name: Mr. Harvard Lomax
- AIAA Citation: For outstanding contributions to the theoretical analysis of supersonic aerodynamics by small perturbation theory and to the computer stimulation of aerodynamic problems by pioneering research in the development of numerical methods with application to computational fluid dynamics.
