Guidance, Navigation and Control Graduate Award

Through its annual graduate scholarship program, the AIAA Foundation presents awards to graduate students doing excellent research in the air and space sciences. This scholarship has been sponsored by the AIAA Guidance, Navigation, and Control Technical Committee since 1998.   • Notes: Brent Tweddle is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Brent works in the Space Systems Laboratory under the supervision of Professor David W. Miller, Professor John J. Leonard and Dr. Alvar Saenz-Otero. He received his S.M. degree from the same department in 2010, and a B.A.Sc. in Computer Engineering and Mechatronics from the University of Waterloo in 2007. Brent is also a NASA JPL Graduate Fellow in the Computer Vision Group under the supervision of Dr. Larry H. Matthie
