    What to Know On-Site

    New! Continental Breakfast

    A great way to start the day and interact with other attendees, a continental breakfast will be offered on Monday–Thursday, 0700–0800 hrs. Breakfast will be served in the Harbor Island and Nautilus Foyers. This event is open to all attendees. No tickets required.

    New! Speakers’ Briefing Format

    Authors who are presenting papers, session chairs, and co-chairs will meet for a short briefing in their session room. Monday–Thursday morning sessions will meet from 0730–0800 hrs, and afternoon sessions Monday–Wednesday will meet in their session rooms 30 minutes prior to their start time.

    New! Print Your Member ID Card Online

    AIAA now lets you print your membership identification card online! It’s quick, easy, and convenient. Even better, your membership card now includes a QR code to improve your conference check-in experience.  


    Printing your new membership card is as easy as 1–2–3:

    1. Log in to www.aiaa.org using the email address associated with your member account and your self-created password.
    2. Select “My AIAA” at the top right of the screen, or select the “Membership and Communities” tab and scroll down to “My AIAA.”
    3. Under the “My Account Information” section, select “Member Card” and Print.


    Printing your conference badge and tickets:

    1. Upon arrival at the conference, visit our conference registration area.
    2. Scan your QR code through an ExpressPass kiosk at Advanced Registration. 
    3. Your conference badge and event tickets will print out in a flash!

    Cyber Cafe (Internet Access)

    There will be computers with complimentary Internet access in the Nautilus Foyer for conference attendees during the following hours:

     

    Monday, 24 June 0700–1700 hrs
    Tuesday, 25 June 0700–1730 hrs
    Wednesday, 26 June    0700–1730 hrs
    Thursday, 27 June 0700–1200 hrs


    Complimentary Internet access is provided in the hotel sleeping rooms at the Sheraton Hotel for conference attendees booking within the AIAA room block. AIAA cannot guarantee complimentary Internet access for those attendees who book rooms outside the room block.

    Speakers’ Practice

    A speakers’ practice room will be available for speakers wishing to practice their presentations. A sign-up sheet will be posted on the door for half-hour increments.

    Timing of Presentations

    Each paper will be allotted 30 minutes (including introduction and question-and-answer period) except where noted.

    “No Paper, No Podium” and “No Podium, No Paper” Policy

    If a written paper is not submitted by the final manuscript deadline, authors will not be permitted to present the paper at the conference. Also, if the paper is not presented at the conference, the written paper will be withdrawn from the conference proceedings. These policies are intended to eliminate no-shows and to improve the quality of the conference for attendees.

    Audiovisual

    Each session room will be preset with the following: one laptop, one LCD projector, one screen, and one microphone (if needed). Please note that AIAA does not provide security in the session rooms and recommends that items of value, including computers, not be left unattended. For additional audiovisual requirements please send an e-mail with presentation information to Anna Kimmel, annak@aiaa.org,  by 29 May 2013. Any additional audiovisual requirements or equipment not requested by 29 May 2013 will be at cost to the presenter.

    Conference Certificate of Attendance Available

    Certificates of Attendance are available for attendees who request documentation at the conference itself. AIAA offers this service to better serve the needs of the professional community. Claims of hours or applicability toward professional education requirements are the responsibility of the participant. Please request your copy at the on-site registration desk starting on Tuesday afternoon.
