This year’s event at the California State Capitol will bring together state lawmakers and their staff to learn more about the importance of aerospace to California. On Monday, 23 March, the California Legislature is expected to a pass resolution recognizing March as California Aerospace Month. The following day, AIAA will hold an afternoon session where panelists will discuss the many great things being done in the aerospace sector throughout the state. Panelists will also share any concerns or challenges they are facing in the present budgetary/political climate, along with pertinent issues and/or relevant legislation that will be debated during this legislative session. On Tuesday evening, 24 March, AIAA will host a networking reception for legislators, staff, and industry members in the Governor’s Council Room. AIAA has teamed with ASA, California Chapter to host this year’s event.

On Monday, 24 March, the California Legislature is expected to a pass resolution recognizeing March as California Aerospace Month 2014. Tuesday, 25 March, will feature a an informational hearing of the Joint Select Committees on Aerospace,
Launch California: Leading the Nation into Space
, which will examine the cutting edge space research and manufacturing taking place in the Golden State. A roundtable discussion with policymakers and industry leaders will follow before a reception celebrating aerospace is held in the Governor's Council Room. The activities will conclude with attendees visiting with members of the Assembly and Senate on Wednesday, 26 March.

A multiple day event at the California State Capitol, in Sacramento, CA, intended to educate state lawmakers about California's economically important aerospace industry. On Tuesday, 12 March, AIAA hosted a breakfast panel discussion in the Governor’s Council’s Chambers for members and staff of the California state government. Followed over the next several days by meetings with individual representatives.
