    William H. Pickering Lecture

    Grand Hall at the Manchester Grand Hyatt

    The William H. Pickering Lecture is named for the former NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory Director to honor his initiation and leadership of America’s unmanned scientific space program, from Explorer I in 1958 through the development of the Viking orbiters and Voyager outer planet and interstellar missions. The lecture is open to all attendees and the general public.

    Rising Leaders In Aerospace Forum

    AIAA's Rising Leaders in Aerospace Forum is a special initiative taking place during Space 2014 that provides a forum for young aerospace leaders, age 35 and under, to learn from and engage with others.

     

    The multidimensional program features a leadership exchange/speed mentoring, panel session, Q&A with top industry leaders, and multiple opportunities for networking. This exciting and energetic forum will provide access to top aerospace leaders and their perspectives, with subject matter relevant to your career stage.

    Rising Leaders Dessert Reception

    The reception will kick off the Rising Leaders in Aerospace Forum and is a perfect opportunity for young leaders to mingle over desserts with others that that will be participating in the forum as attendee, presenter, or veteran professional. Come meet other participants in a casual environment. You're bound to see them again at the Speaker, Networking, or Young Professional Panel event.

    Leadership Exchange/Speed Networking

    A networking event for young aerospace leaders, age 35 and under. 

    Senior Mentors are still being identified but will include top industry leaders, academia, government employees, managers, and other seasoned professionals that can provide insight and counsel about differing industries. Whether you are looking to go into "new" space, government, academia, commercial space, or just get information about the different sectors, this will be a great opportunity to learn about the various sectors and how they operate.
