- Grants that impact at least 25 students or more
Earn up to $250 for your Science and Math Programs
Support may be on the way for your classroom budget. As an AIAA Educator Associate, you’re invited to apply for a Classroom Grant from the AIAA Foundation.
Here’s how it works. Are you a K-12 teacher who develops or applies science, mathematics, and technology in your curriculum? If the answer is “yes,” you may qualify for a grant of up to $250 per individual request to supplement your learning program. Each school is limited to up to 2 grants per calendar year. Please note that the terms of the grant may be subject to change. To get started, JOIN AIAA as an Educator Associate. You will receive a confirmation e-mail with your Member ID , which you will need to submit the Grant Proposal.
So Many Activities You Can Support
Use your grant for classroom demonstration kits and science supplies, supplies for making flying objects (what kid can resist the chance to build and launch a rocket?), supplies for robotic programs, and other materials to help you make science, mathematics, and technology come alive in your classroom. Preference is given to grants that align with the AIAA mission. Please note that grants will not be considered for computer hardware, printers, cameras, equipment, reimbursement of field trip admission, speaker fees, registration fees for teacher professional development, and general math and science supplies not tied to a specific lesson plan. If successful, your lesson plan may be selected for inclusion in the AIAA STEM Connections newsletter.
To apply for a grant, please download the proposal form. Complete the form and attach a summary of the project, a lesson plan, standards that the project supports and a detailed supply list with exact retail prices of the supplies requested. Grants will be considered in November, January, and April or until funding is exhausted.
If the applicant is successful in obtaining a grant, a commitment letter will be e-mailed to the applicant. You will then have 30 days to make the purchase and submit receipts for reimbursement.
If you have received a grant, please download the feedback form that should be returned to AIAA with pictures of your project. We love to share the grant pictures, so please make sure that you have a photo release on file for any student pictures that you send to us.
Note: Terms and conditions subject to change without notice.
