    Satellite Attitude Estimation




    Course Instructors:


    Yaakov Oshman (Fellow, AIAA and IEEE) is a Professor at the Technion’s department of aerospace engineering. Was a member of the AIAA GN&C Technical Committee, and Technical Editor for Guidance and Control Systems for IEEE Transactions on Aerospace and Electronic Systems. His interests are in stochastic estimation and information fusion.

    Julie Thienel (Associate Fellow, AIAA) worked at NASA with a focus on Spacecraft Attitude Estimation for more than 20 years. She supported research in advanced spacecraft attitude estimation methods and spacecraft attitude sensor calibration. She performed attitude analysis for a number of NASA missions such as HST, FUSE, CGRO, WIRE, RXTE, ERBS, TOMS, and UARS. She is a current member of the AIAA GNC TC, and General Chair of the 2012 GNC conference.
