|AIAA Recognized As One Of "Best Workplaces For Commuters"
Fairfax County, Va., Recognizes AIAA for Wide Variety of Transportation Plans Made Available to Employees
December 7, 2012 – Reston, Va. – The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) has been designated as one of the “Best Workplaces for Commuters” by the Fairfax County Department of Transportation, Fairfax, Va., in partnership with the University of South Florida’s Center for Urban Transportation Research, Tampa, Fla. Six other Fairfax County employers and two business sites joined AIAA in winning this designation.
The “Best Workplaces for Commuters” designation recognizes AIAA’s commitment to offering a wide variety of transportation options to its employees, including ridesharing, transit benefits, biking and walking, teleworking, alternate work schedules, and other Transportation Demand Management strategies.
