The Rising Leaders in Aerospace Forum is holding several activities at the 2014 SciTech Forum. On Monday a reception was held to welcome attendees and to provide them an opportunity to meet each other in a casual environment.

Tuesday’s keynote speaker is Laurie Gallo, who will discuss career advancement. Ms. Gallo, who is executive vice president of Booz Allen Hamilton, has spoken to many groups on developing a career path and on the changes and progress that can occur during the course of a career.

There will also be a Leadership Exchange where many Senior Mentors will engage attendees in a speed-networking-type event. Participants will spend 10 minutes with a group discussing their career and answering questions. They will then move to a new group and speak with them. It is a great opportunity for participants to meet senior level professionals and get some great insights into many different types of industries. Mentors are from academia, government, small businesses, large corporations, and contractors.

The Rising Leaders in Aerospace Forum will conclude with a Young Professional Panel on Thursday. The theme of the panel will be differences in perception and reality on first jobs. Presenters will range from very recent graduates to those who have up to ten years of experience. Attendees will gain insights that can help them as they begin their careers.
