Expanding The Envelope Space has long been recognized for its full-spectrum potential, and as our understanding evolves, technological innovations are translating to expanded capabilities. This year’s Space 2005 Conference theme will establish the context of how important and vital space has become while looking forward to a vision of what space can and will provide in the future. This year’s conference is sponsored by Raytheon Company.
This forum addresses a broad array of topics in areas where we may share recent lessons learned in space, and in others we would endeavor to “expand the envelope.”
• New space initiatives envisioned by the DoD to support the warfighter and to achieve space superiority • NASA’s continuing Space Exploration Initiative to explore and expand our human presence in space • New missions and systems for exploring space and monitoring the Earth • Launch industry outlook and perspectives • Spacecraft industrial base and market demand • Unique management challenges associated with space programs • Space mission assurance • Technology advances and implications for military and civil space applications • Policy and regulatory issues driving international cooperation and competition • Commercial space initiatives and their long-term potential • Education and workforce development
These concepts as well as many others will be discussed in detail at Space 2005. Luminaries from across government and industry will participate as speakers and panelists. They will provide unique perspectives, setting the stage for continuing discussion throughout the program. This conference complements other more specialized meetings by offering a broad perspective on interdisciplinary capabilities and space systems, making this meeting a “must attend” conference for 2005.
