The International Conference on Environmental Systems (ICES) provides a forum for authorities from industry, government, and academia to address the technical issues of humans living and working in space and other hostile environments. Each year engineers, scientists, designers, educators, researchers, students and technical specialists meet at the ICES to learn about the latest technology advancements and report their own findings. ICES 2010 is sponsored by the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), the American Institute of Chemical Engineers, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, the SAE Environmental Systems Committee, and the ICES International Committee (INT). The ICES technical program addresses a range of topics, including: - Advanced Life Support
- Astrobiology
- Space Architecture
- Human Factors
- ECLS Technology Development
- Extravehicular Activity
- Exploration Missions
- Life Sciences
- Planetary Protection
- Spacecraft ECLSS
- Simulation Software, Analysis & Modeling
- Spacecraft and Aircraft Thermal Control
ICES Under New Management ICES 2009 and prior conferences were organized by SAE International. Pursuant to a strategic realignment within SAE, the management and operation of ICES 2010 and subsequent ICES meetings has been transitioned to AIAA. As a long-standing co-sponsor of ICES and the world’s largest technical society dedicated to the global aerospace profession, AIAA is excited about this opportunity to serve the environmental systems community. SAE will continue to work with the ICES Steering Committee and the AIAA professional staff during the transition process to ensure the continuity of the conference. The Call for Papers for ICES 2010 will be available early in September 2009 and will be published on the ICES 2010 Web site. Please email ices@aiaa.org for more information about this event, or to request an early copy of the Call for Papers. Download Save the Date Flyer (PDF)
