The AIAA Aerospace Sciences Meeting and Exhibit is the first major multidisciplinary event of the year for aerospace scientists and engineers from around the world. It provides an ideal forum for these scientists and engineers from industry, government, and academia to share and disseminate scientific knowledge and research results with a view toward setting new milestones for the technology of aerospace products.

This meeting has been traditionally built around the excellent presentation sessions of technical papers. Distinguished lectures and informal evening events filled out the remainder of the program. For 2006, a number of Plenary Sessions will be added to begin one or two of the mornings. These will focus attention on program areas of current interest and allow presentation sessions to follow with continuing discussion of these topics.

We're Going Paperless!
Beginning January 2006, all AIAA meetings will be "paperless"--meaning AIAA will no longer offer loose papers for sale or have a papers room during the conference. Meeting papers will be available for purchase in an online proceedings and/or after-meeting CD-ROM format.

Benefits of "going paperless" include:
  • Perpetual online access to all meeting papers
  • Later deadlines for final manuscripts
  • Access to papers before the conference for pre-registered full-paid attendees
  • Better value than purchasing individual loose papers
  • New search feature on Web and CD-ROM

For more information about paperless meetings, contact Kimberly Grant, AIAA Technical Papers Product Manager, at 703/264-7531 or kimg@aiaa.org.
