What you will need: Cellophane Tape Glue Modeling Clay Tissue Paper Sewing Thread Hair Dryer (have an adult help you use the hair dryer)
Directions:
- Cut 8 leaf-shaped sections of tissue paper 12 inches long. Fold each section in half.
- Glue the right side of section 1 to the left side of section 2, and the right side of section 2 to the left side of section 3. Continue with sections 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8. End by gluing the left side of section 1 to the right side of section 8. This will make the balloon.
- Cut 4 pieces of thread each 12 inches long. Tape 1 piece of thread to the bottom center of section 1, and another piece of thread to the bottom of section 3, section 5 and section 7.
- Fix the loose ends of threads to a table with pieces of clay.
- With the help of an adult, set the hair dryer to the lowest speed. Point the nozzle upward into the hole at the base of the balloon and turn the hair dryer on. The air will fill the balloon and pull the threads tight.
