federal government fellows program
AIAA has initiated a unique public policy fellows program that provides selected individuals the opportunity to participate directly in shaping our national aerospace science and technology future. The AIAA Federal Government Fellows Committee will select an AIAA member from eligible applicants to serve a 13-month appointment in a relevant congressional or executive branch office. Individual placement will depend upon the experience and interest of the fellow, The opportunity to contribute in various federal offices, and the needs of AIAA. The fellowship is planned to be effective from 1 January through 31 January of the following year, allowing a one-month overlap with the following fellow.

All fellowship applicants must be a U.S. citizen and AIAA member at the time of application. Applications for the 2010 federal government fellowships will be accepted from 01 December 2008 – 15 February 2009.
