Northrop Grumman Joins as Sponsor

States Conference on Space Science, Applications, and Commerce. As a corporate
sponsor of the event, Northrop Grumman will host the conference luncheon on
Wednesday, 23 June 2004. The luncheon will commemorate the Chandra X-ray Observatory,

technical

the event. David L. Ryan, President of Boeing Satellite Systems International,
will

as the U.S. Co-Chair of the Satellite Communications session.
Raytheon Joins Conference Program Planning

Bush Announces Next Steps
On 12 January 2004, President Bush announced next steps in the strategic partnership
with India initiated in November 2001, when he and Prime Minister Vajpayee committed
India and the United States to strengthening bilateral cooperation in several
areas. The next steps in implementing the shared vision
include "ways to enhance cooperation
in peaceful uses of space technology," and "steps to create the appropriate environment
for successful high technology
commerce."
