Best Papers at 2005 Miniconference

Here are the best student papers presented at the 2005 Region 1 Miniconference held at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory in Laurel, Maryland on November 5th.

The best Graduate Paper Award was presented to Mr.Francesco Soranna, for his paper entiled "Particle Image Velocimetry Measurements Within a Two-Stage Axial Turbomachine" and co-authored by Yi-Chih Chow, Francesco Soranna, Oguz Uzol and Joseph Katz..

The best Undergraduate Paper Award was presented to Mr. Tristan Flanzer for his paper entitled "An Investigation on the Feasibility of Automatic Filling of Microcavities With a Solid Rocket Propellant Simulant".

The section congratulates both winners and thanks all who presented a paper at this year's miniconference.
