On Dec. 15th, Microcosm moved into our new facility in El Segundo. In addition to offices for Systems Engineering and Software activities and our Scorpius Low Cost Launch Vehicle program, we have donated space for the AIAA volunteer project to construct a flying replica of the Wright Brother’s 1903 airplane. The Wright Flyer will be complete in time to tour the country for the 100th anniversary of flight in 2003. It’s a fascinating and ambitious project and we’re delighted to be able to help.

Come visit the Microcosm Astronautics Bookstore and see the Wright Flyer project as it gets underway. We’re south of LAX, next to SMC, Hughes (Boeing) Space and Comm, and The Aerospace Corp.
