AIRPLANE MODEL BUILDING INSTRUCTORS AWARDED
SPECIAL SERVICE CITATIONS

Savannah-June 13, 2002.
Savannah section members Pat Connor, Franz Nawrocki, and Doug McKissack and retired Gulfstream Engineers Bob
MacDonald and Finley Cannon were awarded Special Service Citations for the efforts in promoting the AIAA Evolution
of Flight Program. The program goal was to educate middle school students on the history of powered flight,
aerodynamic principles of flight and control, fundamentals of propulsion, and airplane model building techniques. The
citations read: "In Recognition of Your Support of the Evolution of Flight Program by Creating, Organizing, and Teaching
an Airplane Model Building Program to Local Area Middle School Students in the Savannah Community."
Congratulations to Pat, Franz, Doug, Bob, and Finley for a job well done.
