SAVANNAH AIAA SECTION AWARDS SCHOLARSHIP TO GSU STUDENT

In keeping with a long-standing tradition, the Savannah AIAA Section has awarded a $500 scholarship to a sophomore engineering student, Bert Maatta, who is currently attending Georgia Southern University (GSU). Bert is presently completing his core engineering requirements at GSU, and he plans to transfer to Auburn University this fall to finish his degree requirements in aerospace engineering. In addition to maintaining a respectable grade point average in the GSU engineering program, Bert has been active in student AIAA chapter activities. The scholarship award was made by Savannah AIAA member and Gulfstream Engineering Vice President, Dan Nale, who was also the featured speaker at their annual Gulfstream Scholars Banquet.
