Realizing the Potential
Space has long been recognized for its full-spectrum potential, and as our understanding evolves, technological innovations will translate to expanded capabilities. This year's Space 2004 Conference theme will establish the context for a concerted examination of what we – as an industry – have accomplished, and what we have yet to do … to realize the potential of Space.
This forum will address accomplishments and challenges facing this nation as it strives to realize the full potential of space:
* New initiatives envisioned by the DoD in support of the warfighter
* The role of space in homeland defense
* NASA vision to explore space and expand our human presence in space
* Commercial space initiatives and long term potential
* Launch industry outlook and perspectives
* Spacecraft industrial base and market demand
* Technology advances and implications for DoD and Civil applications
* Civil and DoD communications considerations, limitations, and solutions
* Education and workforce development
* Policy and regulatory issues driving international collaborations
These concepts as well as many others will be discussed in detail at Space 2004. Luminaries from across government and industry will participate as speakers and panelists and will provide unique perspectives – setting the stage for continuing discussion throughout the program. This conference complements other more specialized meetings by offering a broad perspective on interdisciplinary capabilities and space systems, making this meeting the “must attend” conference for 2004.
