Information re speakers' bio and abstracts are to be forwarded to Sharon Jones for the website and to David Brandt for incorporation into publicity, programs, etc. Those members coordinating participation of speakers please expedite the following info to Sharon and David: e-mail address, phone numbers, biographical info., U.S. Mail address, title and abstract of presentation. Sharon's e-mail address is sharon.m.jones@larc.nasa.gov and David's is davidb@aiaa.org Ray Ausrotas mentioned that he, too, needs U.S. Mail addresses in order to send formal letters of invitation to the speakers.

Barry Creighton and Tony Hays were appointed co-chairs of the Workshop, by acclamation. The need to coordinate audiovisual provisions with David Brandt and/or the hotel was mentioned.

There was a brief discussion of publicity efforts re the Workshop. Hays expressed the desire that AIAA would do a mailing to membership to give the event publicity, especially in the Washington area. Lawson volunteered to provide notices of the event to FAA personnel, via her contacts within Mitre. Donohue suggested additional coverage of FAA 'front office' contacts. Creighton indicated he will be in touch with USAF contacts in Washington and Dayton.

There was brief mention of the Social Hour following the Workshop, as an opportunity for all participants to mingle and discuss the events of the day. ATRIF's practice of coordination with the hotel to provide drink 'chits' for those not staying at the Embassy Suites needs to be explored. Following the Social Hour, the TC will convene at 6:30 PM at Blackies House of Beef (across the street), for its meeting.

There was discussion of the upcoming (Oct. 19-21, 1999, San Francisco) World Aviation Congress, and the TC's commitment to put on two sessions of papers. One session will deal with Commercial/Military Airlift topics. The other, chaired by George Donohue will deal with new technology to mitigate aerial gridlock. Each session is allotted two hours for four presentations. Jerry Hefner of AIAA needs to be advised of session topics and chairpersons ASAP.

There was a discussion of the possibility of using NetMeeting for future teleconferencing. Consensus: this idea's time has not yet come.

Ray Ausrotas concluded the meeting at 1:20 PM with thanks to those participating.

Respectfully submitted,
Joe Davis
