Welcome

Join the ATS TC!

If you have an interest in Air Transportation Systems and are willing to commit yourself to the responsibilities of Technical Committee membership, we enthusiastically invite you to join the ATS TC. Qualifications for membership are:

  1. Experience in one or more of the areas defined in the ATS TC Charter.
  2. Time and resources to attend two meetings per year and, between meetings, to contribute to the operation and projects of the Committee. Meetings are usually held in conjunction with:
    • An East coast conference in the Spring
    • The AIAA Aircraft Technology, Integration, and Operations (ATIO) Conference in the Fall (location varies).
  3. Time and resources to participate in AIAA support activities as outlined in the Committee Functions and Responsibilities.

Committee members typically serve on the Committee for three years. You do not need to be a member of the AIAA to join a technical committee. However, you are expected to join the AIAA at the time of your appointment to the Committee.

How to join the ATS TC

For more information about membership in the ATS TC, contact David Maroney, Chair of the Membership Subcommittee. In the meantime, we encourage you to download our prospective member orientation packet which will tell you more about our TC and the responsiblities, expectations and rewards that come with TC membership.

You are welcome to nominate yourself for TC membership (that's how most of us did it!). TC nomination forms are available on the AIAA website.
