Brian Holguin

Brian Holguin is currently an Operations Supervisor at Washington Air Route Traffic Control Center (ARTCC) with the Federal Aviation Administration at Leesburg, VA. Brian joined the FAA in 1990 as an Air Traffic Control Specialist at Oakland ARTCC. While at Oakland ARTCC, Brian held various positions including Traffic Management Coordinator and Quality Assurance Specialist. Additionally, as a controller at Oakland ARTCC, Brian provided expert opinion and analysis to research scientists at the NASA Ames Research Center concerning projects involving decision support tools and operational concepts in support of Free-Flight, such as Dynamic Density and Multi-Sector Planning. In January of 2001, Brian accepted a transfer to the Air Traffic Control System Command Center (ATCSCC) located in Herndon, Virginia as a Traffic Management Specialist in the Severe Weather Area of Operations. While at the ATCSCC, he served as the National Air Traffic Controllers Association (NATCA) representative on the National Airspace Redesign (NAR) team. In January 2003, Brian accepted a promotion to Operations Supervisor at his current location, Washington ARTCC. Additionally, Brian is the Air Traffic Control Association (ATCA) representative on the FAA Air Traffic Procedures Advisory Committee (ATPAC).
