1. The DGSC met on 21, 22 April 98 to review the current status and to work "real time" publication details of the Design Guide. We were able to make significant progress on the Guide because we had Ray Prouty (Consutant for Helicopter Performance, Stability and Control), and John Calderone (AIAA) present during the review process. Two new DETC members (Dorothea Fitzsimmons and William Berrios) joined the DGSC after their review and exposure to all the DETC subcommittees. Enclosure 1 is John Calderone notes of the working meeting which summarizes our Guide Section status. The end date for Guide publication release (4TH Edition) remains September 1998.
   
2. The DGSC presented the DETC meeting secretary with Enclosure 2, an older, but still applicable, version of the DGSC Charter, Mission and Tasks for inclusion into the DETC minutes. We also reported verbally on the DGSC's 5 year plan, which is as follows:

   	Focus on the Design Guide publication cycle (Plan for 5TH Edition) ~ 3 years plus to publish after an edition release.
   	Promote Guide sales between new Guide editions (~ 3 Plus years)
   	Survey 4th edition Guide Buyers for Guide acceptance, useability, content and format. (~ 1 year after 4TH edition release)
   	Contribute to Year End DETC Aerospace America Article (Every Year)
   	Identify and possibly hold a panel or paper session dealing with design guide, tools and process issues for a future conference during our DETC meeting.
   	Perform DGSC succession planning for DGSC member turnover.
