DETC Five Year Goal

  1. Define and Maintain Design Engineering Definition.

    Maintain the generic flow chart of the Design Engineering process, definition, and identify positive CAD/CAM interfaces.

    Inform, discuss and integrate with other TC's, educators, and engineering specialists.

    Incorporate the definition and process of Design Engineering into the Design Guide.

  1. Promote design engineering to the aerospace and public communities, and support education for design engineers.

  2. Embellish and enhance the Integrated Product Development process to support the design engineering integration functions.

  3. Stimulate knowledge to the engineering community on contemporary design issues and techniques through technical forums and design guides
