reviewed the status of our Design Engineering Award and remarked that we did not make a
award this year due to lack of nominations. He also discussed that AIAA does not
distribute nomination requests to Industry, Government, and Academia but rather relies on
the TC's to get nominations. The strategy and approach for acquiring additional
nominations is an ongoing action for the Awards subcommittee. |

| Tom Healy
proposed a brochure format for the DETC. A suggestion was made for adding the Design,
Build, and Fly Contest to the information on the brochure. DETC members should review this
draft brochure and provide comments and suggestions to Tom Healy prior to our next
meeting. |
