The AIAA SETC initiated and entered into a professional working agreement with INCOSE on January 1996 with Bruce Pittman-Deputy Director Engineering and Technology Management under AIAA TAC and Donna Rhodes-Chairman of the Technical Board of INCOSE. The purpose of the agreement was to promote systems engineering and related professional areas that are of mutual interest and benefit to the AIAA and INCOSE. The scope of the agreement extents to the AIAA SETC originally under Rich Harwell’s chairmanship and INCOSE’s Technical Board with information exchange between the two professional societies, initiation/implementation of joint projects, and any standards development activities. The 1st Major Joint Project was the Systems Engineering Brochure - August 1997. The 2nd Major Joint Project is the ANSI/AIAA G-043-1992 Operational Concept Document Guideline Update. The SETC maintains a close liaison with the INCOSE Standards Committee.
