The AIAA SETC has developed close systems engineering liaisons with professional societies like the IEEE Aerospace & Electronic Systems Society (AESS) in conjunction with the AIAA Digital Avionics Technical Committee (DATC) and the INCOSE’s Standards committee.

The National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) provides a link into the DOD systems engineering processes and acquisition instruction updates. The SETC holds one of its quarterly meetings during the NDIA’s Annual Systems Engineering Conference.

The SETC also establishes liaisons with AIAA regional sections whenever possible to get grass root feedback on what is needed at the AIAA member level.

These liaisons provide the SETC a bi-directional information dissemination path for systems engineering trends, events, education, and hot topics.
