Welcome to the AIAA Survivability Technical Committee (STC) homepage. The mission of the STC is to promote the development of survivability as a design discipline for air and space systems.

The threats to the systems include weapons encountered in combat, which include nuclear weapons; non-nuclear weapons, such as missiles and guns, directed energy weapons, and chemical/biological weapons; terrorist weapons; and other hostile environments.

The committee is actively looking for industry, academic, and government civilian and military members who have a background or interest in survivability.

Information regarding the STC's charter, objectives, committee members, recipients of the AIAA Survivability Award, subcommittees, working groups, minutes from past meetings, survivability publications, pictures, links, and upcoming events may be found by clicking on the appropriate link above.
