Same basic configuration that was tested by the German VJ 101C, i.e., rotating jet engines at the wing tips.
With this arrangement, the maximum rotation angle was limited to about 45°, so the vehicle was only capable of
extremely short take-off and landing (STOL) performance, and was not a true V/STOL aircraft.
Large flaps further contributed to reducing take-off distance.
