Based on the build H3. It was only built as a mock-up.
Several versions were studied, including the H5A (basic five-seat version), H5B (armed version with three seats,
slightly armored, and IFR equipment), H5C (escort version, two seats, with armament and armor, and IFR equipment),
and the H5D (SAR version, two seats, four casualties on stretchers, rescue hoist, and IFR equipment).

The H7 was similar to the H5. It was basically a new design but was to use some cabin components of the H5 and
slightly modified controls. The variants studied included: the H7A (basic version with 7 to 8 seats),
H7B (armed version with 5 seats, lightly armored, IFR equipment), H7C (combat version for escort tasks, two seats, armor, heavy armament, IFR equipment),
H7D (SAR version, three seats, four casualties on stretchers, rescue hoist, 60 kg of medical equipment, and IFR equipment)

- Maximum Take-off Weight: 1,800 kg (3,970 lb)

The H8 was an alternative combat version without using the H7 structure.

The H9 was an armed escort helicopter, apparently to meet the tactical demands specified by the BMVg request of 1968 (see the MBB BBH 1 and BBH 2).
A civilian version was designed as well.
