The Denver Post reports that the Joint Polar Satellite System-1 (JPSS-1), built by Ball Aerospace, is scheduled for launch early Tuesday. Once the satellite is in orbit, it will be known as NOAA-20, and will help provide data to help NOAA’s National Weather Service improve its meteorological models. JPSS-1 is the first in a “series of four planned satellites.” (Image Credit: NASA)
