USA Today reports in a video that photographs released by Aerojet Rocketdyne show the first rocket engine for The Boeing Company’s new “Phantom Express” hypersonic spaceplane for a DARPA program to allow the US government to quickly deploy satellites into space. The AR-22 engine “can be reused for up to 55 missions,” and its completion means that the Boeing spacecraft is “one step closer” to completion. The spacecraft is expected to be unveiled in 2020.
