China's Shenzhou-10 spacecraft, carrying three Chinese astronauts, successfully completed an automated docking with the orbiting Tiangong-1 space lab Thursday at 1:11 p.m. Beijing time (1:11 a.m. EDT). The docking occurred two days after the crew launched from northwest China on a Long March 2F rocket. After pressure checks, the astronauts opened the hatch and entered Tiangong at 4:17 p.m. Beijing time. This is China's fifth manned space mission which is scheduled to last 15 days in total.
