United Technologies Corp.’s Kidde Aerospace unit took responsibility for assembly errors found in three All Nippon Holdings Inc. 787s’ engine-fire extinguishing systems. Boeing said that the issue doesn’t compromise safety because there are several redundancies in the fire extinguishing system. Boeing is asking airlines to check their 787s for the issue. Meanwhile a spokesman for UTC Aerospace Systems, said the company is aware of the issue and is working with Boeing to help resolve the matter. (Image Credit: All Nippon Airlines)
