The FAA will inspect airport towers nationwide to see if there is a problem with their lightning protection system following an incident at Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport back in September. While the FAA said this is the first of its kind in FAA history, it still wants to examine those towers built before 1978. Lynn Lunsford, an FAA spokesperson, reportedly said the project is in the planning stages, and may need more funding if repairs are needed. (Image Credit: AIAA)
