A large number of flight cancellations occurred Thursday amid the severe winter weather conditions. According to one calculation, yesterday was the single worst day for cancellations this winter. Approximately 7,154 flights across the U.S. had been canceled as of 3:30 p.m. ET, the most since Hurricane Sandy forced carriers to drop 7,400 flights on 29 Oct. 2012. At Reagan National, Baltimore Washington International, and Charlotte Douglas International, 80% or more of flights were grounded Thursday. (Image Credit: Wikipedia)
