So far there is a 70 percent chance of favorable weather conditions for the launch of a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket on Saturday. The launch, planned for 9:47 a.m. EDT from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, is the first of two that SpaceX will conduct for Orbcomm this year. There was supposed to be a test-firing of the rocket’s engines on Thursday, but the test was delayed until today because of unspecified issues. So far, this has not changed the scheduled launch date.
