Bombardier downplayed the impact of an engine failure during a test on a CSeries test plane last week. The company explained that the failure occurred in the engine’s low-pressure turbine, and that the jet’s airframe was damaged during the test. Pratt & Whitney, the manufacturer of the engine, said that it has been disassembled and that they are working with Bombardier to continue testing. (Image Credit: Wikipedia)
