40-Year Aerospace Veteran Paul H. Park Named as AIAA’s Editor-in-Chief of the Library of Flight Book Series

Paul H. Park June 20, 2018 – Reston, Va. – The American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) announced today that Paul H. Park is the new editor-in-chief of the Library of Flight book series.

Park is an Associate Fellow of AIAA and past recipient of the AIAA Aircraft Design Award. He is currently an adjunct faculty member at the University of Texas at Arlington in the Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department. His extensive experience includes stints at such top companies as The Boeing Company, General Dynamics Corporation, Lockheed Martin Corporation, Bell Helicopter, and Orbital ATK Inc. (recently purchased by Northrop Grumman Corporation).

“AIAA is pleased to announce the appointment of Paul H. Park as Editor-in-Chief of the Library of Flight book series,” said John Daily, chair of the AIAA Publications Committee. “Park brings over 40 years of engineering, management, and teaching aerospace experience to the task of bringing new authors and subjects to the series. The Library of Flight series has a long history of publishing general-interest and reference books, including case studies. We at AIAA look forward to working with him.”

The Library of Flight series encompasses a wide range of topics for aerospace professionals and the general public. Subjects include the history and economics of aerospace as well as the design, development, and management of aircraft and space programs. These popular books extend AIAA’s reach beyond the technical audience comprising our traditional membership.

A list of current titles in the series can be found in Aerospace Research Central (arc.aiaa.org).
