Have you ever seen a “Shark Tank” pitch and thought, “That looks like fun!” Do you want to create an idea or product that could help change the world? Are you looking to collaborate with other young professionals across the aerospace industry? If you’ve answered yes, then we invite you to participate in the 2023 AIAA SciTech Forum Young Professionals Idea Challenge.

Now in its fourth year, the AIAA Idea Challenge at AIAA SciTech Forum provides young professionals with the opportunity to develop a pitch for an idea or product that fits under the umbrella of a particular theme. Teams will be led by a young professional from Ball, and will be composed of a mix of industry, government and academic members. Teams will meet virtually over the next several months to develop the pitches and will have access to both technical mentors and communications mentors to assist in their development. Each team will pitch their idea during the 2023 AIAA SciTech Forum at National Harbor, MD, 23-27 January, where the audience will judge the teams’ pitch on a variety of factors. The winning team will get a prize! (And, of course, modest bragging rights.) This will be a unique opportunity to collaborate with other young professionals across our industry and present at a technical forum!

The application has been closed for 2023, so stay tuned for more information on the challenge and teams. Questions? Contact tobeyj@aiaa.org.
