To meet the challenges of increasingly more stringent requirements on capability, performance, and affordability, the aerospace professional needs to broaden as well as deepen his/her repertoire of expertise and knowledge. Thus, continuing education and life-long learning are essential ingredients of professional development. Today, with instant communication and instant access to information through the internet along with open courseware and social media, there are incredible opportunities to greatly enhance the effectiveness of continuing education to educate, nurture, and inspire. At AIAA SciTech 2014 we will explore how we can use technology to improve and enhance continuing education for the aerospace professional. Also, we will explore how industry, government, and academia could work together to nurture a competitive and innovative workforce for the advancement of the aerospace industry.
