Congressional Visits Day

Advocate for Aerospace on Capitol Hill!

2020 Date: Wednesday, 18 March

Congressional Visits Day (CVD) is an annual event that brings AIAA members—engineers, scientists, researchers, and students—to meet with national decision makers and discuss critical community issues in civil aeronautics, civil astronautics, and defense. Through face-to-face meetings with members of Congress, legislative staff, and other key stakeholders, CVD raises awareness of the long-term value that science, engineering, and technology bring to America.

"Participating in CVD was like getting a bird’s eye view of a grand and magnificent national aerospace project. I knew that my contribution might be small, but being the voice of aerospace community filled my heart with immense pride and humility at the same time."

Ruchir Goswami, PhD Candidate, Iowa State University
