Cedric Cacoud Chief Engineer of Wayfinder A³ by Airbus

Cedric Cocaud
Cedric is the Chief Engineer of Wayfinder, an A³ by Airbus project, working on the development of autonomous flight and machine learning solutions to enable self-piloted operation of a range of aircraft, including Urban Air Mobility vehicles (“air taxis”) and large commercial airplanes. Focusing on autonomous guidance and vision-based navigation, he has worked at JAXA, the Japanese Space Agency, NASA, the department of defense in Canada, and has worked in the world of startups in France. Cedric earned a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Information Systems at the University of Tokyo, and held a post-doctoral position at Caltech working on extreme environment robotics for the exploration of the cryosphere.
